Technology permeates almost every aspect of life.  It is thus necessary to identify and analyze the effects of including and emphasizing technology in classrooms and schools.  The use of technology in classrooms has the potential to both improve learning and also complicate or challenge the conditions in schools.  Educators must engage in conversations about how technology impacts the personal, social, academic skills and development of both students and teachers, which potentially transforms the learning environment.
